Supervisors In The Spotlight
Most of us think we have some of the best
supervisors in the business.
Now that the dealers at the Mirage are actively seeking union
representation, our supervisors will ALL be in the spotlight. They will be
used as pawns by the union busters who will be advising management how to
handle the union issue. They will be forced to take sides.
Our side is the wrong side according to MGM
Mirage management. Please try not to involve the
Supervisor. Their jobs could be
at
stake!
We will have some floormen who will try to get noticed by management as
being a team players who will report on dealer activity! Please give
them nothing to report about.
When asked by a floormen what your position is on the union activity at the
Mirage PLEASE inform them that it is illegal for them to ask
according to
NLRB regulations.

Some of you were fellow dealers when
the Mirage first opened it's doors. We learned a lot about customer service
working for Steve Wynn. Life at the Mirage has been as unsettling for you as it
is for us since MGM took control. So you know very well that this isn't about
you. Most of you are our most capable Supervisors.
We understand the first drawback of working as a Salaried Supervisor: you
work overtime hours for free - not time-and-a-half, not regular hourly wage, but
free. Work your forty hours, and they'll reward you for any of your extra
time with zero dollars.
When the Mirage determines that our organizing efforts
are legitimate, and if/when the Mirage brings in their Union Busters, they will be looking at you
to be their backbone. These Union Busters happen to make a bit more than
any of us and live quite well. They will tell you that you are
responsible for our motives.
Look at all of our issues. You did not do one single thing
wrong that has prompted us to make this move toward unionization.
